Symptom
How do I force a delay in candidate's rejection email?
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruitment Management
Resolution
Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Settings > Return Email Address Information, type the number of hours you want the emails to be delayed in the field labeled “Delay Emails to Disqualified Candidates (in hours)”.
When setting this information, you will have to provide the user to be used as "Job Owner". This functionality runs on the back end and a user must be defined in order to have the job running.
NOTE:
- As described in the Admin Guide and in the Implementation Guide, this also applies for emails that are sent by the system or a status trigger email.
- Please notice that if you enable the function and do not provide the time in hours, the email won't get delivered to the candidate.
- If you will make modification in any of the field like number of hrs, number of days or job owner, it is best practice to disable the Email Delay first then enable it back, supply the needed information (number of hrs, number of days and job owner).
