2082277 - Error: Could not reach CMS <host_name>:6400 while refreshing Dashboards

Refresh a dashboard based on BI web services or QAAWS through BI Launch Pad and following error is returned:

Could not reach CMS 'Host_Name:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)

• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.0
• SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards 4.1
• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.1

1. Open a dashboard connecting to QAAWS / BIWS through BI Launch Pad / CMC
2. Refresh the QAAWS / BIWS connections
3. Get the below error

Could not reach CMS 'Host_Name:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)

dsws.properties file contains incorrect CMS entry. If the Tomcat server is different from the CMS server, when dswsbobje is deployed, the default CMS that gets specified under "domain" parameter of the dsws.properties file is the hostname of Tomcat server and not the actual CMS server.

1. Stop Tomcat
2. Navigate to the following directory: <BusinessObjects Install_Dir>\tomcat\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\classes
3. Open dsws.properties file in text editor
4. For the "domain" parameter contained in the dsws.properties file, specify the correct CMS host name or cluster name
5. Save the file and restart Tomcat
