2082314 - UPE: How to add a character from the UPE font repository to an URDT

Symptom

  • Because of performance reasons not all characters of a font file from the UPE (Unicode Printing Enhancement) font repository are added to a URDT (Unicode Reference Device Type). For example the Unicode character 'WHITE CIRCLE' (U+25CB) which is part of the Unicode area GEOMETRICAL SYMBOLS is not added to a URDT. 
  • The attached document and SAP Note provides you an example on how to add a character from the UPE font repository to a URDT (which is in this example the character U+25CB).
