2082315 - DUMP DATABASE completed with "Page Verification Error" - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Backup Server errorlog shows the following errors when dumping an ASE database:

D00: Page Verification Error: Object id wrong: alloc page=11096576 extent id=11096760 page#=11096760 ptnid in ext=813736908 ptnid in page=427078593.
D00: SYBMULTBUF WARNING: One or more errors have been reported while performing consistency checks on the pages being dumped. The affected pages will be reread in an attempt to discard spurious errors.
D00: SYBMULTBUF WARNING: After rereading the pages, the consistency check has continued to report one or more errors.

  • Option "WITH VERIFY" is used when dumping the database.
