2084185 - Default Value Not Updating on Live Worksheet After Guideline Change - Compensation

This KB article describes the normal behavior of populating the default guideline value for live worksheets in either Merit or Lumpsum fields

1. Make sure Enable Guidelines Optimization is checked
2. Launch Compensation Forms
3. Add a few new guidelines
4. Perform Update Compensation Form for Template
5. Notice the default amounts that should appear in the merit/lumpsum columns are not appearing

• Default values for Merit or Lumpsum only populate when the worksheet is launched
• If guidelines are updated later, then the guideline column will update, but each manager will need to manually enter the new value for people on the worksheet
• Default values will not be added to worksheets after guideline changes for live forms to protect any data managers have already entered 
• If there are no values entered by planners; however, it's necessary for default values to appear on the form, per guidelines remove the person from the form, then add him/her back
• For VRP, The default value doesn't change even though the guidelines update.

Suppose that when the worksheet is launched, the guidelines are 10—20—30, and so the default is 20.

Now, the user's rating has changed to 4, and his guideline is 24—40—60, so the default is still 20 and doesn't update to 40—this is expected behavior of the system.

Note: It's necessary to enable the Guideline Optimization to be able to update guidelines for live worksheets
