2084201 - Manage Data - Guidelines - Default Guidelines on PM Rating Change

This KBA will explain how guidelines can be updated based on a rating change in PM.

When updating a PM rating on a PM form, the default amount/percent for LumpSum/Merit etc do not get updated.

To ensure guidelines change to default values when a PM rating is changed, please follow he below steps.

NOTE: This will need to be done BEFORE forms are launched in Compensation/Variable Pay.
           In some cases customers do not want guidelines to changed when a rating is updated.

Make sure you have “forceDefaultOnRatingChange” set to TRUE in the template. This would be the "Force Default On Rating Change" option within the guideline settings.

• Should this option be set to NO and the xml tag set to "false", then changes to PM rating will not update guidelines or any default amount/percent.
• To navigate to this page within the instance please go to;

1. Admin center
2. Then Compensation Home
3. Open the correct template
4. Click Plan Setup
5. Then Plan Details
6. Click on Guidelines
   
   
7. Click on “Take Action” for Merit and click “Change Rule Settings”
   
   
8. Here you will be able see the guideline settings and options.
