2084238 - Attempt to start db fails with error: Cannot open transaction log file -- No such file or directory - SAP RS

Symptom

Attempt to start SQLAnywhere ERSSD database using the .db file generated using the first six steps in the resolution of KBA 1889219.
Errorlog reports the following errors:

  I.. Transaction log mirror: $SYBASE/data/<rsname>/erssd/backup/<rsname>_ERSSD.mlg
  E.. Error: Cannot open transaction log file -- No such file or directory
  I.. Recovery complete
  E.. Cannot open transaction log file -- No such file or directory
  I.. Database server shutdown due to startup error
  I.. Database server stopped at Wed Jul 03...
