2084261 - Manage Data - Salary is showing as 0 - Compensation

Symptom

You have entered correct Salary information in the Import File yet on the compensation form salary is appearing as 0 for some or all employees.

Reproducing the Issue

Launch compensation worksheets to see the standard salary field value show 0.

Cause

  1. Field type in your excel import file incorrectly set. It should be “GENERAL”. It CAN’T be “Number” or “Currency” and/or
  2. The value in the column “COMPENSATION_SAL_RATE_UNITS” in the User Data File is 0.

Resolution

Please export the USER DATA FILE(employee export) including the compensation data for the template in question.Check the Salary column for the employees that have 0 in the Salary Column and check “Type” of the column.
 
It should be “GENERAL”. It CAN’T be “Number” or “Currency”.For instance following formats for the Salary type are INCORRECT:

 The value in the column “COMPENSATION_SAL_RATE_UNITS” in the User Data File should be non-zero.
