2084342 - Depreciation Calculation For The Fixed Asset Is Zero For The Useful Life Periods

You want to run the depreciation for a fixed asset but realize that no depreciation calculation is done by the system for the period in question.

1. Go to the Fixed Assets work center, and choose the Fixed Assets view
2. Select the Fixed Assets subview.
3. Choose the fixed asset in question,and then click Edit.
4. Navigate to the Values tab, and then choose Depreciation Overview.

No depreciation is calculated for the useful life periods and shows the depreciation amount as 0,00.

The Initial Acquisition Date is set as for example as 01.08.2014 and the Capitalization Date is showing as 15.07.2012. The Capitalization Date should be equal or after the acquisition date. If this is not met the system will fail to calculate the depreciation.

In order to rectify the situation and to calculate the depreciation, correct your Capitalization Date in the Fixed Assets - Master Data tab under Life Cycle Data.

Under the Values tab select Values and click  Recalculate Adjustment.
