2084762 - Permissions - Not seeing a new template when using Role Based Permissioning (RBP) - Compensation

Symptom

  • I have loaded a new compensation template and I am unable to see it in the list of templates when I try to permission it in role base permissions.
     
     
  • How long do I have to wait before I can see a new template?

Resolution

  • When you introduce a new compensation plan you will not see it in the list of templates when attempting to permission it in role base permission.  The cache is refreshed every 24 hours.  We have introduced a new feature in the May 2013 Release in which you can request customer success to run the “refresh” function in the backed provisioning so it will refresh real time. Refreshing role base permission has performance impacts it is not recommended that you refresh it 20 times a day.
     
     
  • If you need this to be done sooner, please phone support and request the refresh. Note! Logging a case will not be appropriate as it will take longer to process the case than it does to automatically refresh. Please only phone or use chat to request this in real time.
     
     
  • Information for Support: Go to Company Settings and trigger a manual refresh using "Refresh RBP Permission Configuration".
