2084855 - ASE came up using Developer (wrong) license, only allowing 25 connections -SAP ASE

Symptom

  • After rebooting several ASE servers on the same host machine, ASE would not allow more than 25 connected clients
     
  • The ASE errorlog showed the wrong license (developer edition) was being used : 

    SySAM: Checked out license for 4 ASE_CORE (2013.1231/permanent/xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx).
    This product is licensed to: ASE Developer Edition - For Development and Test use only 
          
  • Another ASE server using the same license file on the same host machine, was using the correct license, but came up in a graced mode.

    SySAM: Checked out support-graced license for 4 ASE_CORE (2012.03300/permanent/xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx).
    This product is licensed to: <mycompany>
    Checked out license ASE_CORE
