2085275 - Hiding Standard Columns in a Worksheet - Compensation

Symptom

  • How to limit the visibility to some standard fields in the compensation form while still making the fields available for reporting
  • Limiting the visibility to certain standard fields from Compensation Planners for security reasons
  • Hiding columns in the worksheet so they can still be reported on

Resolution

Standard fields that can be made not visible but are still reportable are the following:

  • JOBFAMILY
  • JOBROLE
  • JOBCODE
  • SALARY_PRORATING_START_DATE
  • SALARY_PRORATING_END_DATE
  • TOTALRAISE_PRORATING_START_DATE
  • TOTALRAISE_PRORATING_END_DATE
  • FINAL_JOBFAMILY
  • FINAL_JOBROLE
  • FINAL_JOBCODE
  • LUMPSUM_TARGET
  • LUMPSUM2_TARGET
  • FTE

All the other legacy fields, i.e. Comp Rating or Lump Sum, cannot be made visible.

Note: If needed, engage your Implementation Partner or a paid Professional Services meeting in order to setup custom fields for reportable purposes

If required to define a new custom field in your form template to store an extra attribute for each user where you will indicate the rate type (Annual, Monthly, etc...):

  1. Go to New Admin Tools > Compensation > Compensation Home
  2. Your Compensation Template > Plan Setup > Design Worksheet
  3. Add a new custom column with the following atributes:

  1. Particular fields of note to hide the field but still allow it to be reportable are:
    • Reloadable: checked
    • Reportable: checked
    • Hide this column on the form: checked
    • Exportable hidden column: checked
