Symptom
This article provides information on how to change the number of people displayed in each cell/box/placement of Matrix Grid Reports.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Succession Management
- SAP SuccessFactors Matrix Grid Reports
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Succession > Matrix Grid Reports;
- Generate the report, based on required filters;
- Some or all cells show a warning message, and the users are not presented: "The number of users exceeds the maximum defined in Admin Center. Click to see all users."
NOTE: For the system to display the list of users placed in the cell displaying the warning message, you would need to expand the cell, by clicking in it.
Resolution
The limit number of users to be displayed in a cell/box/placement in Matrix Grid Report, without the warning message, is defined in Admin Center > Matrix Grid Reports: Performance-Potential (or How vs What) > Displayed User Limit Per Cell:
By default, the system determines the displayed user limit per cell to "11". And for performance reasons, the maximum limit number is 999. Setting a limit higher than 99 in "Displayed User Limit Per Cell", may cause performance issues when generating the report.
NOTE: If you refer to the Printed User Limit Per Cell, this addresses the number of users listed upon exporting the Matrix Grid Report. The csv file will not list any users if the number surpasses the configured limit. This includes Too New to Rate and Unrated Users.
