2086008 - Uploading MS 2007 Excel Files (Report Designer) - WFA

Symptom

  • Why is my MS 2007 and onwards Excel file not uploading to the Report Designer as a static data source?

Environment

  • SuccessFactors Workforce Planning and Analytics
  • SuccessFactors Online Report Designer

Cause

The portal does not currently recognise files saved in MS 2007 format (e.g. ".xlsx").

Resolution

  • In order to upload the excel spreadsheet to the portal, the file needs to be saved in the 97-2003 format.
    In the 2007 format, the portal will display an application error, or indicate that the file type is not recognised.
