2087166 - License is invalid or unable to obtain a license using a license server – SAP PD 16.5.4

Symptom

  • Installed SAP PowerDesigner InformationArchitect 16.5 SP04 on a new client machine using a floating license server. When you launch PowerDesigner, you get a message that a license cannot be obtained from the license server.
  • Installing SAP PowerDesigner InformationArchitect 16. SP04 on a new PC using an unserved (FL or SS) license. After loading the license, the following error is generated:

The license is not valid. Check your license key or verify that the server is running.
