- How to delete a Proxy Assigment?
You need to delete a proxy assignment for a specific user. Possibly a user has moved positions and should no longer have access to a specific user, or maybe the user is no longer an administrator.
Steps:
An administrator assigned the required permissions, can delete an assigned proxy by following these steps:
- Access Proxy Management under admin center;
- Under Look up Existing Assignments, populate user information for the person who is the proxy for an account holder or for the account holder(s) assigned to the proxy;
- Click Search;
- When the results are returned, a delete button will become available for the proxy assignment.

- How email notification works around Proxy feature?
A summary email is sent to the administrator that initiated the import with details on the import job. Due to performance considerations, in the event that there are too many errors found, only the first several hundred errors are listed.
A summary email containing error details will be sent to the administrator that initiated the import job. The most common error will likely be due to ambiguous intent. The table above shows scenarios where clear intent cannot be established. For example, a scenario where both “ALL” and a specific module such as “360” is selected. Which is the real intention ("ALL" modules or just "360")? In such cases, we will always evaluate to the more restrictive of the options (in this example, only “360” will be assigned).
- Why the permission for a module is available in one instance and unavailable in the other under Proxy Management page?
Customers have different modules enabled on different instances. Test instance, for example, will have more / less modules enabled when compared to production instance. Therefore you will see more modules available for access in one when comparing to the other instance.
FAQ
Q1: Does the User Directory import file Proxy import still work?
A1: Yes it does. The behavior remains the same. The proxy will have full suite access for the target user.
Q2: Do we charge for this feature?
A2: No, this is a free enhancement.
Q3: Is there a way to export the current proxy assignments to an import-ready format?
A3: No, this is on the roadmap for a future release.
Q4. Can we authenticate to external applications with the Proxy Now User ?
A4: Unless the external application is using BizX as IdP (Outbound SSO), it will grant the rights and privileges of the authenticated user only (KBA 3145229).
Q5: Does proxy is supported for terminated or inactive employees ?
A5: No, it requires to have an active employement for proxy to work.If the employement end date of the user is already over and past dated than proxy will not work.The scope of Proxy search is the same as that in OrgChart and My Employee File pages, it's EMPLOYEMENT scope.
Q6: Does Proxy Management permission in RBP allows the admin to proxy the users in target population?
A6: Yes ,having the “Proxy Management” permission in RBP allows the admin to proxy as any of the users in the target population, but limits the module-level proxy access to whichever modules are assigned for that admin via Proxy management or Proxy Import tools .If no module permissions have been provided in the Proxy Management page then user will be able to access all modules.
Q7: Why is the "Company Info" option in the dropdown navigation menu (aka module picker menu) not able to be hidden when proxying a user?
A7: The "Company Info" option in the module picker menu can not be hidden for proxy as there is no separate proxy permission controlling this. Proxy permissions available are "Directory" and "Org chart" which are rendered as sub tabs within the company info page. Help & Tutorial is rendered by default within any module if a user does not have access/permissions to any of the sub tab items within the module. This is an expected and designed behavior. Help & tutorial page is not configured explicitly but set as the default landing page when none of the sub tabs are loaded/visible.
Q8: External users cant be proxied by admin or those who has permissions to proxy the users ?
A8: Correct , you can't proxy external users but can use it for proxy support access.
