2088147 - Languages: Users are seeing the wrong language after an import

After performing an Employee Import, users reported that the language of the instance has changed.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. User has selected one specific language going to the Username dropdown menu > Options > Change Language
2. Some admin has performed an Employee Import
3. User noted that the language has changed

If the value in the file is different from the supported values such as en_US, fr_FR, de_DE…etc , this will lead to the wrong language in the Instance. Consequently, all the users will have other data than the correct language selected: by default, the system will be in English (en_US).

Example: the administrator imports user data file and made a mistake: in the Default Locale column, the values are West, East, North, etc.  After the import, all users will have their instance locale set to English by default. In order to correct this, the administrator should import the User Data File again after making sure that the values are fr_FR, de_DE, etc. instead of West, East, etc.

In the user directory, the Default_Locale column needs to have specific values like en_US, fr_FR, de_DE etc.. according to the language used by the user. Please check with the admin who performed the import if the default_locale column wasn't change before importing.
