Words are not being recognized by Spell Check.

Periodically, words will not be recognized in spell check even though the user has added the word to the custom dictionary. Quite often these words fit their business model for a given company.

The SuccessFactors application enables you to add custom words to your dictionary one at a time, import a file of words and, for the medical field, add on a complete medical dictionary complete with over 200.000 words!

Enter the word into the custom dictionary import file in multiple formats lower, upper and mixed case.

You can do this via the UI in Admin Center > Manage Company Dictionary, one at a time, or you can import a complete file of words.

Example Formatting:

• HydroCAD
• StormCAD
• stormcad
• hydrocad
• HYDROCAD
• STORMCAD

Once the file is imported, spell check will recognize the new word.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• The word may be recognized, but periodically it may not display as a recommended word for corrections;
• Medical dictionary: if you’re in or associated with the medical field, you might want to use the SuccessFactors medical dictionary as part of your SpellCheck. Once you add the dictionary to your SpellCheck, you get immediate access to over 200.000 words for anatomy, pharmaceuticals, and diseases.
