Environment

Resolution
Load testing involves using scripts in a program such as Load Runner, to simulate hundreds or even thousands of users using Success Factors at the same time. The object is to push the system to see how it will respond with large numbers of users accessing the system.
Performance testing involves one user manually running processes in Success Factors, such as opening an Executive Review in Compensation, to see how long it takes. There are no scripts involved and it is just the one user performing these tests, and using httpwatch and go to meeting to record the results.
Based on the above, please be aware that SuccessFactors allows performance testing, but does not allow load testing in our environments, as this can seriously impact other clients. Clients must not perform any load testing against the SuccessFactors Application as is stipulated in the service contract.
