2089525 - Verifying Proxy Assignments

As an administrator assigns out proxy rights, there can become a periodic need to review assignments made. Admin Center provides several useful methods for reviewing these rights, and verifying if changes are needed.

The Admin Center page contains links to Proxy Management and Security Permission Reports. Both contain areas related to verifying proxy right assignments in the system.

Admin Center (Manage Employees section) -> Proxy Management

The Proxy Management choice contains a “Look up Existing Assignments” section, allowing abilities to see the present proxy for an account holder – as well as the reverse of finding account holders assigned to the proxy. This is useful if you are trying to locate proxy details on specific users. For example, if a manager or administrator is about to change departments – reviewing this helps determine the proxy rights they are involved with, and if changes need to be proactively made.

Admin Center -> Set User Permission -> Security Permission Reports

One of the many Security Permission Reports available is for Proxy Management. This will give row-by-row results for users, indicating proxy rights. The detail is more elaborate than looking up individual users, but may save you time as an administrator if you are looking for varieties of proxy assignments made throughout your organization.

The steps to get this report are:

1. Go to Admin Center > Set User Permission > Security Permission Reports
2. Click on "Proxy Management" and hit Submit button
3. Go to Scheduled Reports page (there is a link in the Security Permission Reports page)
4. Find the report in the job list and download the file

NOTE: Currently there is a known issue with Proxy Management Security Report. If proxy rights are granted via RBP, when a user is removed from target population but the proxy relationship is not explicitly deleted (via proxy management tool), the security permission report still shows the record there. Engineering is working on a fix for this via PLC-17345, please follow the roadmap for updates.
