Symptom

The Dual Stack Split of a SAP NetWeaver based system fails using Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM Tool SAP Note 1680045) in step "Adapt Database for Java Target System" with an error message in sapinst_dev.log:

Assertion failed: OraSqlContext constructor: arguments dbSidOrSrcObject and dbHome are not valid.
