2090323 - Error 7008 when running an Application on both a Workstation and the Server

Symptom

  • An application that is opened at a workstation that is also running on the server will return a 7008 error
  • If a table is currently being used at the server, then the table cannot be opened at the workstation using ARC
  • If a table is not currently being used at the server, then the table can be opened at the workstation using ARC
  • Error 7008: Advantage server file open failure
