2091436 - Employee Scorecard: Experience Snapshot - Where does the data come from? - Employee Profile

Symptom

  • Experience Snapshot - Where does the data come from?

Environment

  • Employee Profile

Resolution

Scorecard Experience Snapshot

  • The first thing to know is that these sections are sorted on start date.  The reason this is important is that the SuccessFactors Application decides which position is "newest" or "second newest" based on the dates records are entered. If the wrong record is being displayed, then review the dates set for each record. Make sure the record you want to be displayed is entered last so that technically it is the "newest" record.

4 Fields are Displayed in the Portlet

  • Time in Current Position - Calculated off of the start date of the newest record for Internal Work Experience (insideWorkExperience).  In the data model this field is startDate, although you can label it as you like.  Note that field name must =startDate AND ID must = startDate.

  • Time in Company - Calculated based on the standard field hireDate.  Be aware of multiple uses of the hireDate field.

  • Previous Position in company - Takes the second newest record from insideWorkExperience and displays the title.  In the data model this is vfld1, although you could relabel it to something other than title.

  • Previous Employer - Takes the newest record from outsideWorkExperience.  It uses the  employer field which must be vfld2.  Once again, you could relabel this field if desired.
