2092912 - LMS - Errors while creating "Program" in LMS

Symptom

  • Customer wants to check the new functionality of Programs.
  • However, when creating there are different errors...
  • 1/ I can't link the program to the domain I want
  • 2/ I can't select 'completion status'.

Environment

Learning Management System - Programs

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Learning-> Programs -> add new
  2. Add Required fields
  3. Select Domain other than Public
  4. Scheduled Offering
  5. Completion Status Blank
  6. Create Program gives you an error message:
    • Domain Id do not exist

Resolution

Solution Scenario 1

  1. After you check Pre-requisites:
  2. Set System Admin > Configuration > System Configuration > User Settings > User Interface Display to “Recommended”
  3. Then go to System Admin->Domains
  4. Select the domain you want to use to have the program functionality
  5. Go to Domain Types
  6. You will see that the Program is not added
  7. Click on add one or more from the list
  8. Search for Program - Program Domain Type
  9. And then we pass to the Scenario 2

Solution Scenario 2

  1. To solve the blank dropbox in the completion status
  2. Go to References -> Learning -> Completion Status
  3. Click on Add New
  4. Enter Completion status ID
  5. Description
  6. And Item Type : Program
  7. Select if needed the options check box:
  8. Credit Given
  9. Include learning events with this completion status for Item Evaluation: User Satisfaction Surveys
    Assignments
  10. Include learning events with this completion status for Follow-up Evaluation: Application of Learning
    Surveys Assignments
  11. Apply Changes button
  12. Verify that the new completion status is in the list with blank search
