2093887 - Cost Rate For Resource XXX and Set of Books ABC Valid On DD.MM.YYYY is Missing

While posting an unposted source document  Employee Time Calendar the system displays an error message "Cost rate for resource XXX and set of books ABC valid on DD.MM.YYYY is missing."

(XXX is the resource ID.)

(ABC is the set of books ID.)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Choose the Closing Cockpit View.
3. Choose the Source Documents sub view.
4. In the Source Documents select the option Unposted Source Documents in the Show view and choose the Go button.
5. A list of all Unposted Source Documents will appear, select your unposted source document when you try to post the document system displays an error message "Cost rate for resource XXX and set of books YYY valid on DD.MM.YYYY is missing."

There could be two reasons for the above error message.

1. Resource XXX could be Blocked or Obsoleted.
2. The Resource Cost Rate is not valid in the Set of Books ABC on the date DD.MM.YYYY.

Kindly follow the below steps to resolve the error:

a. Resource XXX could be Blocked or Obsoleted.

1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Choose the Master Data view.
3. Choose the Resources subview.
4. Choose the Resource XXX (XXX represents the resource ID).
5. Choose Edit button.
6. Choose the Change Status button and Unblock or Undo Obsolete.

b. The resource Cost Rate is not valid in the Set of Books ABC on dated DD.MM.YYYY.

1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Choose the Master Data view.
3. Choose the  Resources subview.
4. Choose the Resource XXX.
5. Choose Edit button.
6. Go to Valuation tab.
7. Choose the Set of Books ABC.
8. Choose the Maintain Cost Rate button 
9. Here increase the Valid From and To Date for date on which you want to post the document.
