2096129 - Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/engine/offline/OfflineToolStart

Symptom

During an installation or a system copy, the Software Provisioning Manager tool (SWPM) executed a java command, however it returns the issue below:

Could not find the main class: com.sap.engine.offline.OfflineToolStart.  Program will exit.

* The example above was extracted during a system copy (step JMigmonJavaDump) of a system based on SAP NetWeaver 7.3 EHP 1.

 

There is a similar error message above explained in SAP Note #1903663, but the installation scenario is different and so is the solution.
