2096264 - The SIA stops when the installer MsiExec.exe launches to look for a non-existent file after applied SP6 on XI 3.1

Symptom

  • The Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) stops in few minutes after restarting it after applied SP6 on XI 3.1
  • Using Process Explorer can see the installer MsiExec.exe launches when the issue occurs
  • The following error message can be found in the Event Viewer:

"Error: "1706 ......"

"Detection of product '{XXXXXXXX}', feature 'Complete', component '{XXXXXXXX}' failed.  The resource 'f:\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\tomcat-docs\' does not exist."
