2096852 - SAP Visual Enterprise Configuration Tool will not start with FIPS compliance enabled

Symptom

  • When starting the version 7 and 8 SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Configuration Tool the following error is generated -

"The type initializer for ‘DeepServer.Common.SafeUniqueId’ threw an exception:"

  • In version 9 no error is generated. Visual Enterprise Generator simply fails to start. A FIPS error will be found in the Microsoft Event Viewer.
