2097969 - Passing Date-type or DateTime-type prompt values to SAP BusinessObjects BI Web Services in Web Intelligence triggers errors

Symptom

  • A BI Web Services created against a Web Intelligence (WebI) document. 
  • The WebI document expects a prompt value of type Date or DateTime.
  • When requesting the web service through the Web Intelligence Rich Client or Web Intelligence Applet interface, one of the following errors are encountered:

    Cannot build the query or generate the report. (WIS 30351)

    For Input String: <prompt value entered>

    An internal error occurred while calling 'answerPromptsEx' API. (Error:ERR_WIS_30270)
