2098549 - Error Message When Releasing the Production Model for Planning and Execution

You have checked the consistency of a Production Model and it shows that it is consistent. However, when you try to release the same Production Model for Planning and Execution, the system displays the below given error messages:

• Creation of released planning model not possible
• Create RPMs
• Technical error RPMF_MESSAGE 13; report an case
• Error creating RPM
• Technical error RPMF_MESSAGE 30; report an case
• Save failed

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Planning and Production Master Data work center.
2. Select the Production Models view.
3. Select the relevant Production Model ID  and choose the Edit button.
4. Select the Check Consistency button, the system shows the production model is consistent.
5. Now select the Run Planning button and choose the option For Planning and Execution from it.
6. The system displays the above mentioned error messages.

In the related Production Bill of Materials, you have maintained the Input Quantity for a Product XYZ (XYZ represents the Product ID) as Zero. As a consequence the system displays error messages when you try to release the Production Model for planning and execution.

You need to correct the Quantity of the Input Product to release the production model without any issues. Please follow the below steps to change the Quantity of the Product XYZ from zero:

1. Go to the Planning and Production Master Data work center. 
2. Select the Production Bills of Material view.
3. Search for the Bill of Materials ID and select Edit button.
4. Navigate to Input Products page.
5. Select the corresponding Line Item and uncheck the Variants checkboxes for the Input Product with zero quantity.
6. To change the Line Item with the Product of zero quantity, you have to create a new Engineering Change Order (ECO) for this Input Product. You can also use an existing ECO with the status: In Process.
7. Choose the Change option and you will see a new Line Item is added.
8. Change the quantity of the product XYZ from 0 to XX quantity.
9. Click the Save button.
10. Select the new Line Item and click the ECO button and then select Complete action.
11. Now assign this new Line Item to the Variants of the BoM (check the variant checkbox).
12. Check the consistency of the BoM and select Save button.
