2100806 - sybmigrate reports "RemoteServer... already exists" and fails to migrate the server - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Using the sybmigrate utility on ASE 15.7.0 SP61 to migrate ASE 12.5.4.
  • The following error is reported in the sybmigrate log:

|USERAUTHENTICATE|DEBUG|RemoteServer MYSERVER already exists

  • Previous attempts to migrate have been made and migration from another server to the target server did work.
  • It is possible to use isql from the source server and to connect to the target server and vice versa.
