2103346 - How to Select One Element only in Query Workspace - Workforce Analytics

Symptom

  • For users who access Query Workspace or switched to this view from Investigate, this article will show how to select one element from the selected dimension
  • Selecting one element only will allow the user to report on a single node. The tool will automatically report on selected node along with all levels underneath the selected node. The selected node will need to be edited within design view to select on single node.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics (WFA)

Reproducing the Issue

1. In Workforce Analytics, navigate to Query Workspace or switch to Query Workspace view from Investigate.

Resolution

  1. Select Desired Measure (Ex. EOP Headcount).

  1. Select desired dimension by clicking and dragging to Gray column or row. Click “Show Design View”.  (Ex. Organizational Unit)

  1. Select “Edit” of selected dimension.

  1. Under dimension name, you can drill down to preferred single node you would like to report on. The Qualifier should be listed as “Selected element only” then click “Add”.

  1. The select element will appear under Distance if successful and will list the selected node to report on that node only. The first level dimension should be removed by selecting “Remove” on the far right.

  1. To save the changes, the black arrow in the gray row at the bottom should be selected.

  1. The selected node will report as a single element thus removing counts from other levels.
