2103622 - Incorrect Country Code in Excel List Exported from EC Sales List

Symptom

Registration Country and Customer Country show number instead of abbreviation of country in excel list exported from EC Sales List.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign All Versions

Reproducing the Issue

Issue can be reproduced with following steps:

  1. Go to Tax Management work center and EC Sales List view.
  2. Select tax return XYZ and open it.
  3. Select View All and go to tab Tax Return.
  4. Select EC Sales List ABC and select Export--To Microsoft Excel. However, yo see the country as number instead of country abbreviation. For example, it shows 63 in the field of country, instead of IE (for Ireland), which is incorrect.

Cause

For all EU countries, the VAT number is generally prefixed with the country code, example for Netherlands the VAT registration number starts with NL for Belgium with BE and so on.

The fields of Country ID in the excel list are derived from this.

In this case, the VAT number is maintained without prefix of country code, but directly starts with digit. So system shows the digit.

Resolution

Please maintain the VAT Number in Account with prefix of country code as IE for Ireland and so on.
