2103926 - auditinit fails with error: Unable to load messages for product 'b1srv' - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • Installing auditing on an ASE 16.0 Solaris, AIX or HPIA server using the auditinit binary.
  • It fails straightaway with an error like:

INTERNAL ERROR: Unable to load messages for product 'b1srv' using language 'us_english' and character set 'iso_1': could not locate the localization file '<$SYBASE>/ASE-16_0/locales/us_english/sybinit/b1srv.loc'.
