Symptom

  • In isolated cases, if the BizX application is open during an event like a datacenter migration, users may receive a 404 maintenance page upon login.

Environment

SAP SucceeFactors HCM Suite

Resolution

Clearing your 'DNS cache' can solve the 404 maintenance error page described above and it is a one-time process. Please see the operating system specific instructions below. 
 

Windows system  (Windows 2000, XP, 7, 8, 10 and 11) follow the steps below:
  1. Close all browsers;
  2. Open the Start menu;
  3. Type "Command Prompt" in the search bar;

  1. In the Command Prompt enter 'ipconfig /flushdns'Note: There is a space after 'ipconfig' and no space after '/';
  2. Press Enter or Return, and your cache will be flushed;

  1. Type "ipconfig /release " (no quotes) and press "Enter"


  2. Once the prompt returns, type " ipconfig /renew " (no quotes), then hit "Enter,"

  1. Open browser and access BizX application per normal procedure;

In MAC iOS System:

  1. Close all browsers;
  2. Go to Applications;
  3. Go to Utilities;
  4. Open the Terminal application;
  5. Type: 'dscacheutil -flushcache';
  6. Press Enter or Return, and your cache will be flushed;
  7. Open browser and access BizX application per normal procedure.
