2104370 - Option IDs for Filter fields showing in Adhoc Reporting - Recruiting Management

Symptom

Option ID, instead of label, is displaying for certain fields from the Job requisition in Adhoc Reporting.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Cause

There are a few possible root causes. These are the ones we've identified so far:

  • The picklist is only added into Internal and External Career Search Settings and is not configured in the XML Template too
  • The picklist in use is different in one of the job requisition templates, and is also different when compared to the Internal and External Career Search Settings

Resolution

For Cause 1:

This issue is only happening for filter fields in the Job requisition template. If you download the Job requisition XML, you will see that there is no picklist ID defined for those filter fields. The picklist IDs for filter fields should be defined in Internal and External Career Search Settings. Please see screenshot below:

However, the option IDs for the picklist values will still show in adhoc reporting for those fields if the picklist ID has not been defined in the Job requisition template. Please see below screenshot:

After you have added the picklist IDs to the XML and reuploaded the template you will get a warning message, as shown below:

 CustomerfilterUpload.png

You can ignore this warning because defining the picklist IDs for custom filters in the Job requisition template is necessary to show the picklist labels rather than option IDs in adhoc reporting

For Cause 2:

The configuration must be consistent throughout the instance when the field has the same field ID, which means that the field type and picklist associated to this field ID must be the same throughout the templates. E.g. Job Requisition Template A filter1 has picklist1 associated, and Job Requisition Template B has picklist2 associated. It should be in both templates either picklist1 or picklist2, otherwise it can cause problems in reporting, the UI and Rules.
