Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) - All Supported Versions

Currently the LMS uses both Java Applet and JavaScript:

  • Javascript
    • A light programming language used for the web
    • Used all over the LMS Instance
    • For example when you click on a button
  • JAVA Applets
    • Require JAVA Runtime Environment (JRE) to be installed on the client machine
    • Small applications that utilize the JRE from http://www.java.com
    • This is used for:
      • Plateau Report Designer (PRD) used to create and customize Learning Reports
      • Offline video and audio players for all content
      • Any content that was created with JAVA (check with your content vendor to see if it contains JAVA and may require it installed on the client machine when streamed)
