2106482 - Create isql alias in Windows - SAP ASE for Business Suite

Symptom

  • In BS on ASE environment, you have to add -X option when executing an isql command.

    C:\sybase\<SID>>isql -Usapsa -PSap12345 -SGSE -w999
    Msg 1640, Level 16, State 2:
    Server '<SID>':
    Adaptive Server requires encryption of the login password on the network.
     
  • This is not a problem but sometimes we feel it is inconvenient.
