2106871 - Journal Entry Header Text and Journal Entry Item Text for G/L Account Is Blank in G/L Account Line Items Report

Journal Entry Header Text and Journal Entry Item Text are not displayed in G/L Accounts - Line Items report.

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the Reports view.
3. Go to the List subview.
4. Search for the G/L Accounts - Line Items Report and run it.

Here, under Journal Entry Header Text and Journal Entry Item Text characteristics, the symbol # (unassigned) is shown.

In this case, the G/L account is a Purchase in Transit Account. These are temporary accounts as these accounts are not direct posting. Instead, it is a clearing account for the direct postings.

This is the expected system behavior.

Purchase in Transit G/L accounts are temporary accounts and these accounts are not direct posting account. Instead, it is clearing account for the direct posting like the supplier invoice and Goods and Service Receipt.

Hence, you see no text under Journal Entry Header Text and Journal Entry Item Text for G/L Account Line Item report.
