2107400 - performance issue with parallelism and WHERE EXISTS non-correlated sub-query - SAP ASE for Business Suite

Symptom

You are running SAP Business Suite applications on ASE.

You have parallel degree attribute set on th ASE database tables and parallelism enabled on the ASE.

You find TDMS imports to take very long - and the following type of query to be slow due to table-scans on the table referenced in the subquery

  • SELECT DISTINCT 'HUGO' FROM SVERS WHERE EXISTS ( SELECT * FROM "STXL" )
