2107531 - Cannot save new document and cannot access to Preferences from Lumira Desktop

Symptom

  • Cannot save new Document from SAP Lumira
  • Cannot access the 'Save As' pop up window
  • Cannot access the 'Preferences' pop up window
  • No error is displayed

Environment

  • SAP Lumira 1.20
  • SAP Lumira 1.21

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Launch SAP Lumira
  2. Create New Document
  3. From File menu select 'Save As' or click on 'Save'

Alternative workflow: 

  1. Launch SAP Lumira
  2. From File menu go to 'Preferences'

Cause

OSGI cache is stale

Resolution

  1. Locate SAPLumira.ini file - default location \Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop
  2. Edit the file using Notepad
  3. Add –Dosgi.clean=true at the bottom of the file
  4. Delete all files at \Users\<user>\.sapvi\configuration
  5. Start SAP Lumira and test out the various dialogs to ensure they are loading
  6. Exit SAP Lumira
  7. Remove the –Dosgi.clean=true setting from SAPLumira.ini
