2107843 - SMPDBNotifier or SMPLogNotifier warnings in Database log

Symptom

The following entries could be seen repeating regularly in the SQL Anywhere verbosity logs on the data tier after upgrading to SMP 2.3.x or 3.0 MBO Runtime.

  •  SMPDBNotifier WARNING, the log free space is no more than 50%, db file: <path to db>, DB size: <db file size>
  • SMPLogNotifier WARNING, the log free space is no more than 50%, log file: <path to log>, log size: <tran log file size>
  • SMPDBNotifier2 WARNING, the log free space is no more than 10GB, db file: <path to db>, DB size: <db file size>
  • SMPLogNotifier2 WARNING, the log free space is no more than 10GB, log file:  <path to log>, log size: <tran log file size>

 

The entries will apply to all the SMP data tier databases and transaction logs

  • Default.db
  • Default.log
  • Domainlogdb.db
  • Domainlogdb.log
  • Clusterdb.db
  • Clusterdb.log
  • Monitordb.db
  • Monitordb.log
