2109442 - What is 'iqunload' utility and How to use -- SAP IQ

Symptom

  • "iqunload" is a command line utility, which depending on the version of the database it is running against, performs one of two tasks.

    • When running against an SAP IQ 12.7 database, it migrates the database, re-creating the legacy catalog on the new database catalog in the current installation.
      See the SAP IQ Installation and Update Guide documentation for current used platform for details on migrating an SAP IQ 12.7 database.
    • When running against an SAP IQ 15.4 or later database, it unloads the database schema and optionally its data into a SQL script file. After that it is possible to load the schema file into another SAP IQ database of the same version.
