2111143 - HANA "shared memory lock tmp/.hdb_<SID>_<Inst#>_lock was deleted" - no crash dump

Symptom

tmpwatch is running on Red Hat and the HANA Database instance crashes with the following errors:

  •  The indexserver_alert trace file shows the following:
TNSClient.cpp : nameserver not initialized. retry in 5 sec...
TNSClient.cpp : process is terminating -> aborting nameserver retries

 

  • The nameserver trace file shows the following:
TREXNameServer.cpp : shared memory lock '/tmp/.hdb_<SID>_<Instance Number>_lock'was deleted -> stopping instance ...
i Service_Shutdown TrexService.cpp : Preparing for shutting service down
TREXNameServer.cpp : Process exited due to an error via explicit exit call with exit code 1 , no crash dump will be written
