2111156 - High CPU usage with application context builtins due to excessive permissions - SAP ASE and ASE CE

Symptom

  • This behavior is observed when executing a stored procedure that contains application context built-in functions.
  • The elapsed time for both tests was identical.
  • For a dbo that did not have the sa_role the number of stored procedure executions was 1,454,154.
  • After granting the sa_role to the same dbo the number of stored procedure executions increased to 1,985,310.
