2111221 - MaxServerConnections [42] reached on ECDA when opening new connections

Symptom

  • Running queries through ECDA 15.0 ODBC to DB2 database. Intermittently receiving these errors:
  • Message = [Native Code: 30004] [ASEOLEDB]Connection refused. MaxServerConnections [42] reached. [ZZZZZ] [Message Class: 16] [Message State: 1] [Transaction State: 1]
  • Occurs with ECDA 15_0 for ODBC which connects to a DB2 database on an IBM iSeries. 
    • Backend can be anything the ECDA is configured to reach.
