2112252 - Two different query plans generated due to Statement Cache being used or not- SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The query plan generated by the ASE server for an ad-hoc query could be different depending on:
    •   Statement Cache is enabled (the 'statement cache size' configuration parameter is greater than 0)
    •   Statement Cache is disabled (the 'statement cache size'  configuration parameter is equal to 0)
       
  • The output of the query plan is activated by using "set showplan on".
