SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2113101 - SMD Agent failed to start and the logs show the Error Failed to load Introscope Agent Profile at: <SID>_IntroscopeAgent.profile Solution Manager 7.1

Symptom

In the log file 'SMDAgentApplication.0.log' and the file 'smdAgenttrace.0.log'  the following errors can be found:

  • Error      Failed to load Introscope Agent Profile at: <SID>_IntroscopeAgent.profile
  • [EXCEPTION]
     java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/BytecodeAgent/<ISAGENT_RELEASE>/wily/core/config/PSP_IntroscopeAgent.profile (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
  • The Introscope VM parameter in the ISAdmin shows =/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/BytecodeAgent/<ISAGENT_RELEASE>/wily/core/config/PSP_IntroscopeAgent.profile but the folder BytecodeAgent is missing in your case.
