- With the Q3 2013 release (see release schedule here), SuccessFactors is excited to announce that your company will automatically receive a complimentary upgrade to your Adhoc Reports! By using the latest Adhoc Reports 2.0 user interface, you will have a vastly superior and intuitive reporting experience.
This upgrade includes QA, test, and production environments. Because of this, it is possible that your production environment is already running Adhoc Report Builder 2.0 and only your test instance is a part of this upgrade.
Please Note: Your existing reports and permissions in Adhoc 1.0 will continue to work within the upgraded Adhoc 2.0 offering.

Who is impacted by this change?
- Customers who are currently using the Adhoc Reports 1.0 user interface will be upgraded to the AdHoc 2.0 Report Builder.
Why is Adhoc Reports 1.0 being upgraded?
- We are focusing support on the reporting solutions that create maximum value for our customers, evident with Adhoc 2.0's improved functionality and user interface. Adhoc Reports Builder 2.0 has already been adopted by many customers since it was released in May 2011 and all future enhancements to Adhoc Report Builder will only be available in 2.0.
How will this affect my system?
- Your existing Adhoc 1.0 reports and permissions will not change and compatible with Adhoc 2.0. In addition, you will gain several improvements and features that were not available in AdHoc 1.0.
When is the upgrade coming?
- For most of our customers, this upgrade will take place with our Standard Release, the weekend of Aug 17, 2013. For the select customers on our Premium Release datacenters, this will occur on Sept 13.
Please note that if you'd like to transition early, you can simply submit a support case to get started!
Is there any cost for this upgrade?
- No; this upgrade is complimentary and will take place within the regularly scheduled Q3 release update.

How can I prepare for this upgrade?
- First, let your Adhoc report users know of the details around the upcoming user interface change. The user interface has been enhanced, not overhauled, so existing users will be able to start building reports straight away without extensive retraining.
What new features can I expect?
- Faster user interface
- Export report definition file and import into another instance
- Advanced filtering, including a "Like” clause and a free text filter
- New column sorter, group by widgets, record counts
- InActive users can now be selected
