2116815 - Error Message: Third Party Location Not Valid for Sales Kit items

Symptom

You try to assign external warehouse XYZ as source of supply to your sales document, you receive the error message.

Item XX : Third Party Location Not Valid for Sales Kit items.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Order work center.
  2. Choose New Sales Order view.
  3. Provide mandatory information and choose View All.
  4. Navigate to Items page.
  5. Choose Add Row.
  6. Input the sales kit ABC and choose the external warehouse XYZ as source of supply.

Cause

In the current version, we do not allow external fulfillment for sales kit and hence you are getting the error message.

Currently we do not support sales kit in third party order scenario.

Resolution

This is the standard system behavior and system behaves as designed.
